  • Full Time RV Fitness: Week 8

Although it started a bit rocky I managed to get 4 days of exercise this week. My goal is 4-5 days per week. Saturday Scheduled Rest day Even though today was a rest day we did manage to get over 19k steps at Tampa’s Gasparilla Festival. It was a lot of fun and a great way to keep moving even on our rest day. Sunday Scheduled Rest Day Monday Weights: Back & Bis Crosstraining: Off-Road Biking 7 miles We hit Planet Fitness for our weight training today. I am loving being so close to the gym. For cardio, we decided to hit our bikes outside instead of staring at the…

  • Full Time RV Fitness: Week 7

The Tampa SuperShow threw me off my game. I was not expecting to be so busy every day. But with my new outlook on health, I was not derailed for long. My mindset now sees health and fitness as a life long journey. Just because I have a bad day or a bad week does not mean I will throw in the towel. I plan to live a long, healthy life so every day is a new opportunity to improve my health. Saturday Unplanned Rest Day Today we were up early to head into the SuperShow. We were there all day and met up with some friends in the evening.…

  • Full Time RV Fitness: Week 6

This was a hard week for me. There was so much going on at the Tampa SuperShow and our schedule was crazy! But I guess that is a part of life in a sticks and bricks or an RV. You just have to figure out how to make it work. This week I didn’t do a very good job with that! Saturday Yoga: Day 10 Ground, 18:04 I don’t know why I never made yoga a part of my routine before now. Have you tried yoga? Yoga with Adriene is perfect for any level. Check it out and see what you think. Sunday Rest Day I did not even do…

  • Full Time RV Fitness Journey: Week 5

Saturday Run: 2.45 mi/33:43 min/13:44 ave pace Walk Run Intervals: 4 min/1 min x5 Yoga: Day 3 Awaken, 26 min I hate riding this roller coaster of workout emotions. Some days I feel like I can do anything and the next day I feel like running is gonna be the death of me. How does that happen from one run to another? Today, sucked big time! couldn’t even run the entire 5th interval. I stopped to walk in the middle of it a couple of times. My legs were sore from the burpees (thank you Mr&MrsMuscle) and I had no energy! This sugar detox is killing my energy levels. I…

  • Full Time RV Fitness Journey: Week 4

Welcome to 2020! I hope you had a great time during the holidays with family and friends. Now that eating season is over it is time to dig deep to make real changes happen. I have committed to several challenges this month to help me achieve my health and fitness goals. I know I can make it through to the end of January the trick will be to make it throughout the entire year! How about you? Any challenges for the month of January? Are you making changes for yourself in 2020? Saturday Weights: Legs & Glutes I found something new to add to my workout arsenal. I was looking…

  • Full Time RV Fitness Journey: Week 3

Week 3 of my full time RV health and fitness journey is in the books! I am ready for next week and the big changes that will happen as my journey moves into the new year. Saturday Scheduled Rest Day Sunday Run/Weights: FITNESS FAIL!!! Today is my first fitness fail! My fitness calendar had a run listed for the day but it was raining when we woke up. So I mentally switched my run to weights. But then life happened. I had a stressful day and did not make the effort to work out at all. I blew it off. I can give you a million excuses for why I…

  • Full Time RV Fitness Journey: Week 2

I completed another week on my journey back to health and fitness. The first week is always the easiest since you are all excited and pumped up. As the weeks continue it gets harder to stay consistent. Hopefully, I can maintain it throughout 2020! Keep reading to see how I did this week. Saturday Run: 2.75 mi/37:29 min/13:36 ave pace Walk Run Intervals: 2.5 min/2.5 min x5 I hit the wall. You know that wall of reality that slaps you in the face like a bad Wile E. Coyote cartoon! Last week’s feeling of “this is easier than I expected” has been replaced with OMG! What have I gotten myself into!…

  • Full Time RV Fitness Journey: Week 1

Welcome to the beginning of my fitness journey. I will be journaling my progress (wins and losses) as we travel full time in our RV around the country. Join me and together we will motivate and cheer for each other over the next 8 weeks. Saturday To be honest my fitness journey actually began yesterday because I went shopping for new running shoes. This was a big step for me for several reasons. First of all, I hate shopping! I know I am a girl and I am supposed to love it but I don’t! And for the record shopping for running shoes is the worst kind of shopping on…

  • Journey Back to Fitness as a Full Time RVer

Like many people, I have struggled with health and fitness throughout my life. I have been through periods when I have been in great shape and felt fierce and other times when I would walk no farther than the fridge to grab some salsa for my bag of chips! I thought when we started our full-time RV adventure, all my health and fitness challenges would disappear. But that didn’t happen. Instead, there are new and exciting obstacles that make it hard to stay on track. Health and Fitness Wins I can be very laser-focused, which has helped me to achieve many goals in my life, including my fitness goals. I…
